Attendify FAQs

We've had beta testers in the Attendify platform for the past month.
Here are the questions they've asked us.

How and when will attendees be able to access the Attendify event platform?
Attendees will be able to access the Attendify platform on a desktop/laptop computer, as well as via a mobile app. Links to gain access to both will be emailed on Monday, April 11, 2022. Attendees should be sure to use the email address associated with their event registration when they sign-up for access to the platform. If not, they will be told "access is restricted."
Which web browser should I use to access the platform?
Attendify system recommendations and requirements are outlined here.
Since all of the virtual sessions will be held on Zoom, do I need to download the Zoom app separately prior to April 19, 2022?
Yes, you do. All virtual sessions will be conducted on a Zoom integration within Attendify. This means you'll need to have the Zoom app downloaded onto your computer and mobile device (if you intend to use your mobile device) in order to watch live sessions. To be safe, if you don't already have one, you could also consider setting up a free personal meeting Zoom plan here: https://zoom.us/pricing.
What time zone is the platform in?
The Attendify platform should default to the time zone associated with your computer settings. To verify, be sure the Tuesday, April 19 IBPA Annual Meeting of Members starts at:
  • 9:00 AM Pacific
  • 11:00 AM Central
  • 12:00 AM Eastern
  • 5:00 PM in the UK
I just clicked to join a session on the Attendify event platform and got a pop-up message telling me, "Your connection has timed out...." What's that about?
This is a bit annoying, but sometimes when you click "Join Here" as opposed to "Join via the Zoom App," the system will give you a "Joining Webinar Timeout" error message. Apparently, this is a known issue and there's nothing Attendify can do about it. There are two ways to correct it:
  1. Refresh the page and try again.
  2. Click "Join via the Zoom App" instead.
Is there a way to "build my schedule" like I've done in previous years?
Yes! But only by creating a personal list of bookmarked sessions using the mobile app, which will be open to attendees on Monday, April 11, 2022.
To bookmark a session, you can tap the bookmark icon next to it in the mobile app. When doing this, you'll be able to set a reminder about that particular session (10, 30, or 60 minutes in advance). You can select No Alert if you don't need a reminder at all. Remember that in order for the app to notify you about your reminders, you'll need to have allowed notifications in settings. (See screen shots.)

Are you recording the presentations?
We intend to record all virtual sessions and make them available for viewing in the Attendify platform from Monday April 25, 2022 until Tuesday, May 31, 2022. After May 31 the virtual presentations will no longer be available.

The in-person sessions held in Orlando, Florida April 29-30 will not be recorded.

How do I network and chat with others within the Attendify platform?
This article from the Attendify help center does a great job explaining the different networking options.
How do I ask questions of speakers during their virtual presentations?
All presentations will be conducted in Zoom. You will use Zoom's Q&A function to ask questions of speakers during their presentation. You will be able to "up vote" other attendees' questions and add comments to other attendees' questions, as well.
