IBPA Publishing University 2022 will take place as a 2-part virtual + in-person, with live online programming April 19-21 on the Attendify event platform (access to recorded programming through May 31) and in-person programming April 29-30 in Orlando, Florida.

This page will help you make sure your computer, laptop, mobile device, and internet are ready for the smoothest experience with the Attendify event platform.

Update your browser.
Be sure to use the latest version of one of these recommended browsers for the best attendee experience:

Google Chrome is the preferred browser. To ensure you have the latest version of Google Chrome.... 1) Click on the Menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen. 2) Click on Help, and then About Google Chrome. 3) Your Chrome browser version number can be found here. (See screen shot.)
Download the Zoom app on your computer and mobile device.
All virtual sessions will be conducted on a Zoom integration within Attendify. This means you'll need to have the Zoom app downloaded onto your computer and mobile device (if you intend to use your mobile device) in order to watch live sessions. To be safe, if you don't already have one, you could also consider setting up a free personal meeting Zoom plan here: https://zoom.us/pricing.
Check your processing power.
Video streaming needs your computer/laptop to have enough processing power to run smoothly. That's why we recommend making sure your machine is ready beforehand.
  • macOS
    • System Requirements: macOS 10.12.6+ | Processor 64 bit
    • Supported Browsers: Chrome (recommended), FireFox, Edge, Safari

Check your internet speed.
Streaming video and audio requires a fast and stable internet connection for the best, uninterrupted experience. Here is what our minimum speed requirements look like:
  • Recommended minimum for an audio/video connection
    • Average download speed: 1.5mbps
    • Average upload speed: 1.5mbps
  • Recommended for a high-quality audio/video connection
    • Average download speed: 3 mbps
    • Average upload speed: 3 mbps
We recommend running a speed test ahead of the event to check your download and upload speed. It takes only 1 minute. Follow this link to get started.
❗ If you're using a VPN or a network protected by a firewall, this may interfere with and/or block the virtual platform and individual features. For the best performance, we recommend disabling the VPN and whitelisting the URL of the virtual platform (if you are on a network protected by a firewall). If you can't add the URL to the whitelist, we recommend switching to a different network.
Prepare your mobile device.
Using the mobile app will amplify and improve the event experience by creating the ability to consume content and interact with other attendees on multiple screens from almost any location. It will also be a HUGE help for those attending the in-person portion in Orlando, Florida.
